So I bought Game of Thrones today hoping to play it during the snow storm. No such luck. I kept getting an error on my Mac which runs on Snow Leopard and had no issue with TWD season 1 and season 2. I got the updates, uninstalled, reinstalled. I looked at a few threads about this and am now downloading the patch from here: https://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/90801/game-of-thrones-pc-mac-episode-2-patch-download-install-instructions

Is that going to get this going? Also that patch is taking longer to download than the game. The download bar has changed back and forth from 5 hours to 3 repeatedly. Is that normal?

  • I apologize for the inconvenience. Yes, the patch is necessary in order to download and play Episode 2 and on. When you start the game while connected to the internet, you should be prompted to download the patch. If you were not prompted in-game, you can also download and install it from the Sticky thread you linked above. If you are receiving an error message when attempting to run the game on your Mac, can you please clarify what the error message stated?

    Can you please clarify what the error message that you are receiving, states?

    Also, did the Support Tool file output a .zip file after it completed running? If so, please follow the steps to upload that .zip file to a File Hosting Website, then copy and paste the download link to that support tool file in a reply to this thread, and I will be able to assist you further with your issue.

  • It says check with the developer to make sure Game of Thrones works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the application.

    I have Snow Leopard and all available updates. I'll check into the other item.

  • My apologies, it appears that you have uploaded the Support Tool file itself. After you download the Support Tool, you will need to run it by double-clicking it, then it will open a command window and collect the necessary information needed. After it has finished running, it will output a .zip file that you will then upload to the file hosting website.

  • My apologies, after looking over the information you provided above, I noticed that you are currently using a MacBookPro7,1. This particular model uses an integrated graphics card which only supports 256mb of dedicated memory. Unfortunately this does not meet the minimum system requirements to run the game successfully. Even after downloading the patch, you may not be able to run the game due to your computer's graphics card. Unfortunately I would have to recommend either try playing the game on a computer that meets the minimum system requirements, if you have the ability to, or contacting/emailing our Support Staff at Support@Telltalegames.com for further assistance or any inquiries regarding refunds, or refund requests if you purchased the game from our website.
